Job Requirements
Contributing Middle East features and country/sector reports for SMR, interviewing key players in close liaison with editor Bob Jaques (UK based), travel with the region to conduct one-to-one interviews, working closely with the local commercial team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Monitoring several different news sources and the market on a daily basis.
* Creating original copy (news and features) following interviews with key players/clients, working in close liaison with the local commercial team.
* Assisting in creating a detailed conference agenda aligned with business objectives and capturing exactly what the community wants to learn, delivering it through content.
* Commissioning executive level speakers from the leading organizations.
* Working with speakers to generate a pre-show content to engage audiences.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Knowledge of the maritime industry, preferably including the Middle East.
* Internet savvy.
* Writing/business reporting skills.
* Experience in conference content production.
* Excellent command of English and effective communication at all levels.
* Ability to work in a small team but communicate with wider team.
* Good organizational skills.
* Strong listing skills.
